Front-End Developer

Role Description

Noctem, LLC is seeking a talented front-end developer to join our start-up team.  The qualified candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, a natural inclination for working with cross-functional teams, and lead projects to success from the front with clear client and internal communication, decisive action, and proactive work ethics.

As a front-end developer at Noctem, you will:

  • Create and integrate high-quality front-end systems 
  • Work closely with back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting
  • Develop impactful new applications and features
  • Be responsible for quality assurance, and successful launch/delivery/maintenance of client-facing apps; 
  • Write functional requirement documents and guides

For this position, you meet the following requirements:

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a related field
  • Have strong communication skills and flexibility to work with teams across multiple time zones 
  • Demonstrated initiative to stay abreast of technology advancements
  • Experience in JavaScript as well as TypeScript 
  • Experience working with cross-platform app development using Ionic and Cordova 
  • Experience in AngularJS and Angular
  • Experience working with graphic designer tool such as Adobe XD or Sketch 
  • Working knowledge of SignalR and Socket.IO real time communication platforms
  • Working knowledge of NodeJS 
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools
  • Good time-management skills

  • Military service or experience working with military clients and/or veterans

Full Stack Developer

Role Description

We are looking for a full stack developer who has an entrepreneurial spirit, an innate drive for excellence, who dares to try, is not afraid to fail, who can think big, execute, and deliver. Accountability, reliability, commitment and work ethics are top priorities at NOCTEM. We want to enhance our diverse team with a person who has initiative to stay abreast of technology advancements and strong communication skills. The right person will have a major hand in our culture and growth. 

As a full stack developer at NOCTEM, you will:

  • Architect, develop, and maintain web applications
  • Build and maintain REST API
  • Design and implement data storage solutions
  • Implement security and data protection
  • Perform unit and integration testing for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
  • Improve application performance by optimizing code and fixing bugs
  • Create elegant solutions to address complex user experience and product problems quickly and efficiently and ensure a smooth design-to-development transition 

For this position, you will meet the following requirements:

  • 3 years or more of relevant work experience
  • Advanced experience with Angular, MongoDB, Elastic Beanstalk, Docker, Node.js libraries and frameworks
  • Experience with role-based access control (RBAC) and Identity Access Management (IAM)
  • Proficient in implementation of security and data protection for web applications 
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools
  • Proficient in test-driven development (TTD) and agile software development
  • Working knowledge of Socket.IO real time communication platforms as well as JavaScript, Typescript, Semantic UI, Bootstrap UI and Ionic framework 

Special Considerations

  • Experience interfacing with Cerner EHR system using Cerner Open Developer Experience (CODE)
